View a transcript of the video The aim of the project was to further develop an innovative product idea to use anonymous digital cash to enable internet payments. The cash is stored on devices such as computers, mobile phones and smart cards e.g. Oyster. To convince potential investors of the potential for the idea, the company needed to take their idea and develop a prototype and coherent business model. There were also significant legal challenges, which also were considered as part of the project. In the longer term, the aspiration is to compete with the likes of Pay Pal and Chip and Pin.
